I got this while working for a restoration company in a very misty/foggy area. It's the perfect amount of light warmth and moisture-resistance for working in a cool morning. The smooth fabric makes it super easy to brush or wipe off the occasional mud without needing to wash it all the time. I happen to love the flannel pockets, as anything sharp or dirty goes in my pants pockets anyway, and I enjoy the cozy home for ungloved hands while walking.

Now I work for an "agency" and everything I wear is supposed to be dark green. If Dovetail made it in that color, I'm sure a few thousand other women who work for all the parks and forests would buy it!

I’m very interested in purchasing this jacket for myself and a few girlfriends. I would be interested in seeing it come with a detachable hood in the future or maybe a hood as an accessory (Lined/Unlined) that you can purchase separately.

This is definitely and wind and weatherproof jacket. I ordered a size MD based on another reviewer saying she needed to size up. The MD was really wide around the hem. It flared out. There was no hem cinch to combat this. The chest and shoulders felt like the right size, but the rest of the jacket was just too big. I am exchanging for a SM. I hope the hem "flare" goes away, but I am a bit skeptical about the fit in the upper body area. I will follow up with another review. I am 5'7", 34-36C, 135 lbs, thin, but muscular.
